Three of Swords (reversed) || Ten of Pentacles || Princess (Queen) of Wands
Welcome to 2023 Tarot friends! It is a new year and so here is a new project. Let’s try to do a daily Tarot meditation together everyday for the next year. The door is open and you are welcome to step through. Thank you for being here.
Today we have three different suites at play; swords, wands and pentacles. The Wands and Pentacles are fairly far along on their journey (Queen and 10); this makes me think about the end goal, the fruit of the labor. How can we direct our energies in the right way to get to where we want to go? For me, this year feels like a year of new beginnings and unseen parts of the map. I have no clue where I am headed right now; I feel like I am charting new courses everyday. The Queen of Wands here tells me that I can believe in myself and my ability to achieve what I hope to achieve. Bidy Tarot offers this:
The Queen of Wands reminds you that you are upbeat, courageous, and determined. You are here to see through your creative visions and life purpose, even in the face of adversity and challenge. Highly self-actualised and self-aware, you know how to best channel your strengths and weaknesses to achieve your goals. You are optimistic and full of ideas to share with others. You know what you want and how to get it, and are masterful at engaging with others to achieve your goals. Stay fiercely determined and focused on your goals while being friendly and optimistic with those around you.
So as we start this new year, let your determination be your guide. You will get to where you want to go and that determination will lead you to enjoying the physical manifestations of your work (Ten of Pentacles). We may find new opportunities, new advantages, new financial success or new found success in creative work we do. For me, I want to get back to physical health goals and I want to continue to manage my finances in smart ways so I can provide for myself and my daughter. These goals are achievable this year.
The Three of Swords (reversed) feels like the card that is going to appear in every single draw for me this year. I have gone through some intense emotional challenges and pain in 2022 and 2023 feels like the year to focus on me, move on from these past hurts and find my way back to success and energized living. The Three of Swords is all about excising pain; coming to terms with actions and words that have caused you harm and finding a path forward to move on from those pains. In the reversed, often we need to look inward to see how we harm ourselves. What sorts of negative thoughts and feelings swirl in your head? I know my mind is usually a tumult of these kinds of thoughts but the Three of Swords with the Queen of Wands tells me that I can convert or repurpose those negative thoughts into positive ones; I have the will and the power to do that. And I want to.
Thanks for joining me on this short reflection. I hope to do one of these every day this year. Please leave your thoughts and comments about this draw below, and feel free to offer any insights or ask any questions.
Thanks for reading!
